TEMPORARY FLORIDA HEALTH INSURANCEIf you have recently changed jobs, or recently graduated from school and have been removed from your parents' plans, temporary Florida health insurance is available. You can obtain coverage for 1 to 12 months under these plans. Deductibles normally range from $250 - $2,500 with an 80/20 coinsurance option. Most times you can be covered in one day under these plans. Temporary health insurance plans in Florida are indemnity or fee-for service plans, preventive and routine care is not covered, nor is dental or optical care. In addition to this, temporary health insurance plans are generally non-renewable and should not be bought instead of regular Florida health insurance. Traditionally, temporary health insurance plans offer services including emergency medicine, prescription drugs, intensive care, laboratory work and x-ray, ambulance, and some home and hospital care. Coverage starts at 12:01am on the policy date listed on the application. Pre-Existing Conditions in most all cases will not be covered, and in some cases will keep you from obtaining coverage. These plans can also be extended to include a spouse and dependants. |
